Our Story
Why we built JAZ
JAZ began with a simple observation: while software had transformed how companies sell, market, and manage finances, the day-to-day work of tracking attendance and coordinating field and shift-based teams was still stuck on paper and spreadsheets.
We spoke with operations managers, HR teams, and site supervisors across construction, retail, healthcare, and hospitality, and heard the same frustrations again and again — disputed hours, missed tasks, and reports that took days to assemble.
So we set out to build something different: a platform that's simple enough for a first-day employee to use, and powerful enough for an operations director to run an entire organization on.
